Images from a Wal-Mart Parking Lot

Well, we haven’t been at the Wal-Mart for two weeks now, but I have had trouble getting my articles to publish. We’re playing a little catch up.

Looking north, towart the entrance of the store. Those are some of our truck parked there.

The aviation battalion used the park to the east of us as a landing area.

Here’s MSG Gordon watching the choppers.

The park viewing slightly south, you can see downed trees before the church arcoss the way.

We’ve dragged this sign with us a lot of places for years.

The Commo Platoon’s hooch: Left to right–SGT Owens, SSG Ruckel, MSG King, and SPC Oliver.

Oklahoma’s Joint Forces HQ’s Mobile Communications Center–a.k.a. “The White Whale”.

You might think this guy is Army. You’d be wrong. This is a member of the FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team restin in one of our trucks. Looking like us worked out for them though–the criminal element that remined in the city was willing to shoot at law enforcement, but they didn’t want to tangle with us.Looking south. The bridge in the background is the “big bridge” across the Mississippi River.

Comming soon: Pictures from our new digs and from inside downtown New Orleans.
